Maintenance for Batteries, Battery Chargers, Belt Packs & Headsets from BAVT Technologies

BATTERY MAINTENANCE

3

Belt packs should be turned "off" before replacing battery. Always use batteries until they are completely worn down, a beep or a light will flash when the battery is low. Batteries should not be removed from the charger until it's fully charged and the green "Ready" light is on. Battery contacts and terminals should be cleaned using a pencil eraser or alcohol moistened swab. Terminal contacts should be completely dry before reinstalling battery into charger or beltpack. Store batteries in a secure, dry, and clutter free area where battery contacts will not come in contact with metal objects that will damage the battery by shorting contacts.

BATTERY CHARGER MAINTENANCE

3

Keep the charger in a clean dry place, away from heat, grease and water. Do not remove power to charger while batteries are in slot being charged. Leave several inches of space behind charger rear vents so that air can circulate. Charger contacts and terminals should be cleaned using a pencil eraser or alcohol moistened swab. Let the case and contacts dry completely. Don't spray cleaner onto case and don't use any kind of solvent for cleaning..

BELTPACK MAINTENANCE

3

Belt pack should be turned "Off" before changing batteries and when storing the unit. Belt packs should be stored with headsets attached so as not to damage connections. All beltpack should be worn in a pouch and secured to operator via a belt. Wearing units loosely may cause units to fall and damage the electronics. Beltpack casing screws should be tight. Volume knob should not be loose.

HEADSET MAINTENANCE

3

Headsets should remained plugged in at all times. Connectors should be tight. Mic booms are to be positioned up or down 2 to 3 inches away from corner of your mouth. Speak in a normal, clear voice. Change ear pads and mic muffs often. Use clips to secure the headset cable to the collar and back of shirt to prevent cable from being cut, pulled and damaged. Store headsets in a clean area away from grease and water.
